This film is a gift to the inhabitants of the village of Cervera del Maestre in Castellon / Spain. The gift is given without expectations and with hope. The film does not seek to accuse or judge. The gift is not meant to stir up sentiment for or against anything. It is not meant to exclude, but to invite. The film aims to contribute to an understanding of what can happen but does not have to, which consequences are more likely and which are less so.
In times like these, everything is subject to suspicion of propaganda. This film is a work of social art. The film has no sponsors. It follows no agenda. The film also pursues no commercial interests.
Because there are no financial investors behind, the technical execution is very simple and basic. It is about the content, and that is rich and valuable.
In times like these, open public discussion is not welcome. How could one then sell a so-called public opinion, fabricated in the backrooms of power, to the people? Thus, those who have arguments are often marginalized. The dehumanization of those who think differently is cheap and easy. It teaches those around it a lesson: if I am denigrated as the source of the news, there’s no need to engage with my arguments. This exclusion also creates space for violence.
This film project was started in Summer 2025 by doing a lot of research. In Winter 2025 first shots where taken and some people around became involved. At this moment we do not know where it will lead us, so this page is more a pre-view on the process of creation than an ad for a finished well-done piece of art.

If there will be a finished film for the public, it will be a) a non-commercial project and b) you will see nearly nothing online. The purpose of the film is to bring people into action by starting real communication, and therefor the film will be shown in the real world only.

2025-11-22 – Today we started to mount the part one of the film “bajo los vientos” to show a pre-pre-view to a selected audience to get a first-hand feedback and to make it better. We are focusing first on the part one and on the Spanish version. Last chance to apply today for tomorrow…
2025-11-14 – this page is set up to create a single point of useful information about the progress of this social art project – also people are invited for a pre-pre-view (or a pre-pre-pre-view…). The fixed and soon date will force us to go on quickly.
2025-11-13 – at a dinner the off-text was discussed first time with friends – so “jack is off the box now” – we started communication with some friends to start research for interviews and fact-checking.
