ARTSURPRISE is a social sculpture and itself a piece of conceptual art.
I mount refurbished tobacco vending machines in museums, galleries and art spaces in Europe. I charge the machines with black cartons in the size of tabacco boxes. Inside of each machine are between 200 and 400 of these boxes. In each box i offer one contemporary original (!) artwork.
After more than 8 years we have published from more than 200 artists in more than 70 locations more than 30.000 artworks.
I partizipate with several series from the start in summer 2011 to now. The artworks are available in the vending machines of the project or by request from my art market partners.
Actually we expand the project to make it available for much more partners and customers in various countries in Europe.
